Unfortunately the Christmas market this years runs from 27th November to 7th December, therefore the market will not be running on the 10th December, however, you will still be able to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of the town and visit numerous tourist attractions and shops on the day.
The Bath Christmas Express

‘The Bath Christmas Express’ will launch the Christmas season off in fine style as we head for the historic city of Bath. Join us on this varied and interesting steam hauled train that will travel through some wonderful countryside, hauled by Ex LNER A4 class Pacific 60019 Bittern.
The train departs from East Croydon. We will speed along the Brighton line as far as Redhill where we will leave the main line and head towards Guildford, where we pause to pick up further passengers.
From Reading, Bittern will have a chance to show off its high speed as we head west along the former Great Western Railway’s main line towards Didcot. Bittern’s whistle will be sounding loudly as we rush past the Didcot Railway Centre, with the Vale of Whitehorse, with its famous hill carving on the hillside, following quickly. The former railway town of Swindon will appear next, where the GWR based its locomotive works, now a shopping outlet village.
‘Bittern’ will hurry the ‘Bath Christmas Express’ through Chippenham and Brunel’s famous Box Tunnel, before we make a stop at the Georgian town of Bath. The Christmas lights will be on and the city will be in full swing with the sound of festive Christmas music.
With Bittern turned and fully serviced for the return run, we pick up passengers who have experienced the magic of Bath, hopefully full of festive sprit! During the journey, expect to meet up with Santa and his Elves!
We shall retrace our outward journey, calling to set down passengers as outwards.
